We are proud to announce the newest release in the Secretariat "Vox Populi" Award series of artwork by artist Jaime Corum featuring 2018 award winner Winx.
While Australian race fans have been familiar with this 7-year-old wonder mare for quite some time, her recognition and popularity on the global level exploded last year as she captivated audiences worldwide with her racing brilliance. In 2018, Winx was victorious in the prestigious Cox Plate for the fourth consecutive time adding to her phenomenal, ongoing 29-race victory streak. Her will to win earned the devotion of fans across the globe and crowned Winx as one of racing's most beloved and respected equine talents. With her cumulative earnings of more than $16 million USD to date, and a racing career that is expected to continue in 2019, the far-reaching admiration for racing’s Queen of Down Under has attained a level of historic proportion.
The portrait of Winx, who shares the same sire and many attributes of inaugural "Vox Populi" award winner Zenyatta, appropriately depicts the regal bay super mare poised for competition. Corum deftly captures the intelligence and beauty of the champion in fine detail down to the familiar and distinctive white bridle and bit she wears when racing. The artist-signed special edition print features a detailed remarque of the Winx Magic Bloodstock Racing colors in the lower left corner.
Produced on the finest archival stock and limited to 200 total pieces in the edition, each 18" x 12" print is individually numbered and signed by the artist as well as Winx owners Peter Tighe and Debbie Kepitis. Prints will begin shipping Jan. 16 with earliest orders receiving the lowest numbers in the edition on a first-come basis.
