Every so often, Secretariat fans and collectors are blessed by a providential discovery associated with the Meadow Stable superhorse. In this case, buried deep within the Meadow Stable Archives, a lost treasure has been found. We are proud to introduce the only known image of Secretariat as a yearling, recently discovered in an obscure Meadow Farm folder from the personal office files of Penny Chenery.
This amazing, never-before-seen photo capturing Secretariat as a yearling is now being offered in a special 5" x 7" Birthday Celebration edition limited to 100 total pieces, produced on museum-grade metallic photo stock and displayed in acid-free double matting featuring the distinctive foil-stamped Meadow Stable colors. The photo is available with the complimentary and collectible option of being hand-signed on the matting by Penny Chenery's daughter and family historian, Kate Chenery Tweedy, and is also being offered in ready-to-hang hardwood framing with solid brass halter tag nameplate.
The Yearling Birthday Editionimage is being sold on a first-come basis, with earliest purchasers receiving the lowest number in the edition, but only while quantities last. Don't get left at the gate, order yours now!
"There is historical and there is unique, or one of a kind. When something is both it becomes a treasured possession. Buried in owner Penny Chenery's files for over half a century and recently discovered is something that not only is historical and unique, it fills in the only blank in the life of the immortal Secretariat. That blank has been a photo of the colt as a yearling. What did Secretariat look like between the time he was a foal and his debut on the racetrack? No one has ever known...until now." ~ racing journalist, Steve Haskin
