The lesser known stablemate of Secretariat but a champion in his own right, Riva Ridge led the way to glory in both the 1972 Kentucky Derby and Belmont Stakes. The speedy bay with the floppy ears racing accomplishments in 1971 and 1972 provided the success and capital to pave the way for Penny Chenery and the Meadow Farm to continue operations that would ultimately lead to Secretariat's legendary Triple Crown in 1973.
We are proud to offer a selection of photographic imagery celebrating Riva's racing achievements, including a rare portrait photo of Riva Ridge by legendary equine photographer Tony Leonard.
