The image captures Laurin giving pre-race instructions to his illustrious and future Hall of Fame jockeys Ron Turcotte and Eddie Maple who would pilot Secretariat and Riva Ridge respectively. The talented tandem would ultimately finish 1-2 in the prestigious race, setting a world record and further underscoring the Meadow Stable's remarkable success in the early 70's.
This captivating archival 8" x 10" photo is one of the favorites from the private collection of Penny Chenery and is available with the collectible option of being hand-signed by Mr. Turcotte and Mr. Maple.
