In conjunction with the 2022 Bourbon County Secretariat Day-Fest we are proud to offer this special 9:00 a.m. tour of historic Claiborne Farm -- one of America's most prominent horse breeding properties where the great champion lived out his days following his legendary racing career.
The Secretariat-centric tour includes viewing the grave site of the 1973 Triple Crown champion with visits to the breeding barn where he was conceived and to his revered stall in the famed Stallion Barn. The barn currently houses the internationally accomplished stallion War Front, champions Blame and Runhappy, and promising young sires Catholic Boy and War of Will among others. This will be an individual party tour with attendees providing their own transportation to the farm.
All Claiborne Farm Tour participants will receive a complimentary Secretariat gift as a keepsake of their visit.
PLEASE NOTE: Tour-goers should proceed directly to Claiborne Farm located at 703 Winchester Rd. via their own transportation. There is no physical ticket for the tour; we request that all guests check-in at the Claiborne Farm Visitor Center 10 minutes prior to the tour. For more information, please call (502) 473-1036.
