On a beautiful spring morning in 1989, James Archambeault had the fortunate experience of photographing Secretariat in the pastoral setting of his paddock at the famed Claiborne Farm in Paris, Kentucky.
The results of this captivating and intimate photography session are the following four previously unpublished photographs of the great champion. Each image, unique in perspective, captures the grace and majesty of Secretariat as a premier stallion flourishing in his retirement in the heart of the Bluegrass.
