Penny Chenery was so smitten with this elegant image featuring Secretariat in the Preakness Stakes post parade she decided to self-publish a limited edition of prints in conjunction with the 20th Anniversary of Secretariat's Triple Crown. The coveted and collectible large prints sold-out long ago, while an associated production of glossy mini-photos were retained for her own private collection and personal use.
As a throwback offering, we are proud to make available the final 23 mini-photos remaining in Ms. Chenery's inventory. The 3.5" x 5" glossy mini-print captures Secretariat and jockey Ron Turcotte on their way to the post in the May 19, 1973 Preakness Stakes at Pimlico Race Course. With the gleaming chestnut champion juxtaposed amongst the backdrop of a clear blue Maryland sky, the image lives up to its sub-title as "a magical moment in racing" history.
Celebrate the middle jewel of the Triple Crown with this rare offering, now available with the option of being hand-signed by Mr. Turcotte, but only while quantities last.
